Physical Education
Our PE days are Tuesday and Wednesday. Please make sure that your child arrives in school wearing their school PE kit. The children should also wear their usual school jumper or cardigan on these days. PE will take place outside and children will be able to wear hats and coats until they have warmed up for this fun and important area of school life.

Homework
Reading - The children will complete their 'Star Reading Assessment' in week one and will then recieve a reading book matched to their individual comprehension level. Please encourage your child to read everyday as we will be tracking their reading success in comprehension quizzes! As often as possible, ask your child questions about their reading book, challenge them to predict what will happen next and ask them to summarise what they have read so far. Reading is tracked electronically for volume and comprehension success. A minimum of 80% quiz scores are expected.
Spellings - Spellings will be issued each Friday and then quizzes will be completed the following Friday. You can see the lists for spellings on your home learning grids.
Maths and English Homework - Each week a piece of English or Mathematics homework will be sent home. Please can these be completed in your child's orange home learning book. Along with the homework, please continue to work on your child's individual targets which were given at parents evening.
