St Joseph's is situated in the area of Devonport, in Plymouth. Devonport was formerly a town in its own right and is famous for being the home of Devonport Naval Base. The school is on part of the site of the former Raglan Barracks. We have a number of great resources nearby.
St Joseph's Church
Sat right next door to the school, we have the St Joseph's Roman Catholic Church. The children from 2 classes attend the church each Wednesday and there is a mass offered for parishioners on Sunday, at 11:30am.
Devonport Guildhall
Offering space for co-working, markets and events, the Guildhall is also home to a vegan cafe, Hedgerow Hound.
Plymouth Music Zone
Plymouth Music Zone (a charity based organisation) offers weekly music workshops open to everyone and is sat right across the road from the school,

The sports centre and grounds are only a very short walk away from the school.
Mount Wise Swimming Pools
Mount Wise Pools (about 10 to 15 minutes on foot, away from the school) consists of a 25-metre main pool, a fun pool with fountains, stepping stones, a whirlpool, and a bubble pool, as well as a small pool for children. Open from 25th May to 15th September this year.

Inside the Market Hall, you can find collaborative work spaces, events/ immersive experiences and a Cafe.
Devonport Park and Pavilion Cafe
Offering multiple outdoor play areas and a centrally located Cafe, Devonport Park sits just a short walk away from the school.

Devonport Playhouse offer a range of theatre shows throughout the year and tickets are able to be booked online, located only up the road from the school.
St Aubyn's Church and Devonport Library
Mass happens at St Aubyn's Church, 3pm on a Sunday, on the upper floor of the building.
The ground floor houses Devonport Library, offering a large selection of books or computer access. Classes frequent the library often.
