Summer

Summer One

Writing

During the Summer One term, we will educate and excite our readers through diary entries from different points of view about WW2. Our final writing focus will be to entertain through fable story writing.

Maths

During the Summer One term, we will have our main focus of will be on- Area and Perimeter, statistics, angles and protractors.

Religious Education

We will consider the theme of Pentecost, learning about the importance of the events after Jesus' death and the coming of the Holy Spirit after Jesus' ascension. 
World War Two- A Local Study
Summer Two

Writing

During the Summer Two term, we will write and evaluate poems linked to rivers, which is our Geography theme. Our narrative will focus in a wordless story about a flood where the children will write the narrative. 

Maths

During the Summer Two term, we will have our main focus of will be on-  co-ordinates and units of measure.

Religious Education

We will consider the theme of reconciliation, learning about the importance of the penitential act and restoring relationships. Finally, we will learn about the importance of the universal church and how the ten commandments support the wider church.
