Summer

Summer One

Writing

During the Summer One term, we will write and evaluate tongue twister poems. Following on from this we will entertain and excite our readers through diary entries from different points of view. Our final writing focus will be to inform and educate our audience through descriptive writing.

Maths

During the Summer One term, we will have our main focus of will be on- Fractions, Decimals and Percentages, angles and protractors.

Religious Education

We will consider the theme of Pentecost, learning about the importance of the events after Jesus' death and the coming of the Holy Spirit after Jesus' ascension. 
World War Two- A Local Study
Summer Two

Writing

During the Summer Two term, we will write and evaluate rhyming poems. Our narrative will focus in a fantasy story. Our final writing focus will be to inform and educate our audience through an explanation text on a water cycle.

Maths

During the Summer Two term, we will have our main focus of will be on- angles and protractors, co-ordinates and units of measure.

Religious Education

We will consider the theme of reconciliation, learning about the importance of the penitential act and restoring relationships. Finally, we will learn about the importance of the universal church and how the ten commandments support the wider church.
